Carmel Valley Family Style

In the vast number of weddings we have catered, there are inevitably a few that are stand outs . This wedding was such an event. Atop a hill overlooking Carmel Valley, the view was stunning. The ceremony was at the point right next to the family style table which fit perfectly on a regulation size Bocce Ball court. Weather was perfect, (November 3rd), ceremony short but sweet, a short cocktail hour and then dinner, family style. The diners were greeted by small platters of Manchego, Jamon Serrano and roasted grapes, Parmigiano Reggiano and Torta Rustica. Next up mussels and prawns on a bed of perfectly cooked seafood risotto. There was no need to hurry; the wine and the conversation flowed before the entre course of grilled Quail, Cous Cous and Autumn grilled vegetables arrived. Time passed as the diners were bathed by the sun and cooled by the drink. The guests were serenaded by a single accordion player. Dessert was Italian cookie trees with port or coffee. The Wedding cookie tree, a pyramid of snowflake shape and design cookies delighted the guests.  A more perfect party can only be the next...true Family Style Supper.
